The relations between the Republic of Ecuador and the State of Qatar is deemed very good. These relations are enhanced after the visit of H.E. the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, may Allah protect him, to Ecuador in January 2013 and after the visit of the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, in October 2014 to Qatar. There are many agreements signed by both countries in the fields of cooperation, economy, trade, law, etc.
 

The agreements signed by both countries include the following:

• Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income.

• Agreements for the development and introduction of modern methods of training experts in the field of international relations.

• Information exchange in the fields of teaching and scientific research.  

• An agreement for cooperation in the legal matters has been signed also.

• The field of trade and investment.

• An air services agreement has been signed with the objective of deepening the air-relations between the two countries (for cargo flights only, not passengers).

• An agreement has been signed for the trade, economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
